I fresh installed windows, and with it fresh avast install
when I opened avast I can't find the password module anywhere, eventhough during installation I had selected password (old) and deselected password protection (new)
I had also followed the steps in this link https://goo.gl/4Ptzkf (https://goo.gl/4Ptzkf) but it failed to fix the issue
I have no idea what else to do

Unless when you re-installed the product you used the Customize option,
You wouldn't have had a chance to check off Passwords (old)
To fix it, do the following,
Open the Avast user interface and select Menu > Settings > Troubleshooting
Next, select Add./Modefy Compnents and select the following

Next hit the Password Manager and let Avast install the Password Manager for you.
Restart your computer and the Avast Passwords will again be available.

It initially did not work, but after I restarted my pc the password module is there, thank you for your help!
