Title: Avast Proxy Interfering With Malawarebytes Antivirus Program
Post by: damian210 on October 24, 2020, 06:00:10 AM
Hello everyone, I’ve been having some real issues lately with my laptop dramatically slowing down, sluggish opening/navigating websites/programs, screen freezing, etc.  I thought it might have something to do with my anti-virus Malawarebytes subscription but after a detailed review of my logs they’ve come back with the below including the assessment:

“It seems that your Avast Proxy may be interfering with Malwarebytes and our tools.

Servers that need to be able to be contacted are;
1.   keystone.mwbsys.com
2.   sirius.mwbsys.com
3.   ark.mwbsys.com”

As a layman in such matters, I have no idea.  Could anyone advise if this is likely and if so, how I go about adjusting my Avast to permit contact (?) with these sites?  Thanks so much.
