Hello everyone,
We’re pleased to announce that we have released a new version of Avast Secure Browser (ASB) - version 86.1.
Changes
- (NEW) Improved design for popup screens
- (NEW) Suggest a feature is added to the 3-dots menu
- Improved our Anti-Phishing solution, that allows the browser to scan faster URLs, decreased the number of false positives, more efficient, precise, and overall performance improvements
Fixes
- Improved importing data from your previous browser
- Improved stability and speed of cross-platform sync

How to get this latest version:
If you have ASB already installed, it should be updated automatically (feel free to visit ‘secure://settings/help’ to trigger an update faster)
Alternatively, you can download and install ASB from our official site (https://www.avast.com/secure-browser)

If you wanted the ASB for Windows version, the link was in the text, see attached image.

So why did your update mess up my ability to use bank mode? It was working fine and when I went to use BM it won't load. I switched to another computer running Win 10 and it worked until I updated Windows ASB and now it won't load there either. GRRR Don't they check this stuff out thoroughly before they roll it out?

I was having trouble using the Bank Mode too lately. I now realise it has something to do with the updated version of Avast Secure Browser (ASB). The thing is, in order to solve the problem, I uninstalled ASB and tried to reinstall it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reinstall it no matter how many times I tried. Every time I would get a message that the failure of installation has something to do with my internet connection, which works perfectly by the way. I have updated Avast Premium Security on my pc but still, the installation fails every time I try.
So, could someone from Avast team provide me with some guidance about how to install ASB? I would really appreciated it. Fixing the Bank Mode should also be a top priority.

Same problem here too. No Bank Mode. Worked fine until update. I have uninstalled it now and will wait until it is fixed.

Thank you, Misha. When I open the developer mode, my version only shows Avast Bank mode 1.2.0.195 and I have no option to update to version 1.2.0.197. Am I doing something wrong or am I too impatient?

Thank you, Misha. When I open the developer mode, my version only shows Avast Bank mode 1.2.0.195 and I have no option to update to version 1.2.0.197. Am I doing something wrong or am I too impatient?
I found another post that suggested to click on update several times and it now updated to the .197 version and the problem is fixed. Thank you very much.

I've tried that solution and it doesn't work. I need to pay a number of bills and don't wish to use "standard internet" as I've been the victim of fraud. Hope you can resolve this issue soon.

I've tried that solution and it doesn't work. I need to pay a number of bills and don't wish to use "standard internet" as I've been the victim of fraud. Hope you can resolve this issue soon.

I also use bank Mode for bill paying, stock trading, etc. plus for a number of other sites like eBay simply because it lets me stay logged in to those sites for a long time. In a pinch I was using FireFox, but not also checking sensitive sites that weren't a necessity to visit.

Everything in my computer is updated and my internet connection works excellent.
So, I 'm asking for the second time. Could someone from Avast team provide me with some guidance about how to install ASB?

Current version is 88. If you're still having a problem try the following.
Maybe it's time for a clean install of the Secure Browser
Download the installer from here, https://www.avast.com/en-us/secure-browser (https://www.avast.com/en-us/secure-browser)
Download the Secure Browser Removal tool from here, https://download.avastbrowser.com/avast_secure_browser_uninstall.exe (https://download.avastbrowser.com/avast_secure_browser_uninstall.exe)
Save your Bookmarks via the Book Marks Manager if you have custom bookmarks so you can import them when you re-install.
Uninstall Secure Browser via Programs and Features - Reboot
Run the removal tool, reboot, run the installer import your favorites if you saved them.

Report back if that's solved the problem or not.
Avast has offered a separate tool to totally remove the Secure Browser if the above instructions don't work.

Hello again.
I have follewed the recommended instuctions several times but still nothing. ASB just won't get installed and it's so annoying...
