Title: Putting the genie back into the bottle
Post by: polonus on October 21, 2006, 10:00:06 PM
Hi malware fighters,

A secure Internet is gradually being created on the terms of big brother and the content cartel the Digital Imprimatur will be onto us. Secure computing with certificates, a fixed ID will be the future, no more viruses, no more spam, no more ID fraud, no more piracy But at what a cost.  Everything is brought in to achieve this gradually,. Maybe one big disrupting worm attack, and it will come in even faster. Will the future be as sketched here: http://www.fourmilab.ch/documents/digital-imprimatur/
Will this be our fate or will the future be to the New Digital Generation, the people that like to tinker and to chalange to find and create new digital ways to uphold the free interchange of information on all levels. Will we loose all our anonimity and are our computers turned into content playing machines or do we have a function in it like co-creators? What is coming down the road? I'm curious,

I especially like his references.
The latest one he has posted is 2003.
Big brother 1984 has long since come and gone.... ;D ;D
