Title: Attempts to log in to my NAS
Post by: wadeburroughs on December 22, 2020, 01:14:40 PM
I've had two attempts, this morning, to log into my NAS. Both were blocked. The addresses were 5.62.43.203 and 5.62.57.17. Both trace back to Avast software. Why would they be attempting to log into my system?

What about AVG, or CCleaner which are also Avast products.

No, not in years.
If so, it's probably a misuse of Avast VPN.

I haven't used AVG or CCleaner.
Probable misuse. Happened just before 5am. The second attempt was 2 minutes after the first. The NAS software blocks any ip address after 10 failed attempts. Hopefully it's put them off trying to hack in.

If it should happen again, report back.
