Title: Virus Chest
Post by: The Stranger on January 28, 2004, 01:55:37 AM
I received a warning from my Avast resident scanner in OE on 11 infected e-mails (infected with MyDoom), and........ although the notification window said "Don't panic"..........I did  :o.

I clicked on the virus chest tab with each one. Fine, but.... now I don't know what to do with them. They are secure in the virus chest, but how do I repair or clean them now ???

I do realize that I should have stayed calm and clicked on repair instead of virus chest - ooooh what a fool  :-[

As those files came by mail and they do not contain anything but a worm itself and as you (most definitely  :D) do not need them, you can safely delete them - either directly from the OE or now from the Chest. The repair function does not have much sense here anyway!
