Title: avast 4 home internet email provider
Post by: stormzen on January 28, 2004, 05:00:26 PM
There appears to be no documentation for On Access Scanner / Resident task settings /Advanced [Settings]

When choosing 'silent mode', what exactly does "with general answer Yes (OK)", "with general answer No (Cancel)" mean?

How does the heuristic 'silent mode' differ from the advanced silent mode?

Does this provider check zip files?
All in all, seems to be a pretty good product, so far...

Thanks!

Advanced/Silent mode suppresses the virus message. Answer YES means keep the message infected, NO means remove the infected attachment from the message and move it to the virus chest.

Heuristic/Silent mode suppresses the heuristic module warning (suspicious message).

ZIP archives are checked by default.
