Title: 'Resolved' Unwanted Flash Screen notice
Post by: schmidthouse on January 20, 2021, 07:27:09 PM
I have just recently had unwanted notices (flash screen) popping up with a reference to Avast Secure Browser and wonder if anyone else is experiencing this "intrusion"!

Can't find any option to stop these flash screens from appearing. Never had this issue until just a few days ago. Started out of nowhere, there are different screens appearing, Not happy

Any input appreciated.
Thanks

They just keep coming

I checked in Settings/Notifications and added a Block to pointcaptchaspot.
Hopefully resolves the issue.

Have you read this https://www.computips.org/remove-pointcaptchaspot-com/ Pointcaptchaspot.com prompts users to allow its notifications.  Seems like you end up receiving 3rd party ad/spam

See this post by 'PaulW66', https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=247777.msg1580974#msg1580974 the suggestion and solution is to use the ASB uninstall utility to clear all remnants of ASB, a reinstating the 'Adblock' and 'Bank Mode' extensions.  Which presumably blocks these ads.
