Title: latest definitions file?
Post by: thingie on November 12, 2006, 10:55:10 PM
Anyone know what the latest definitions file is? My avast says that nothing has updated since the 9th, which coincidentally, is when I purchased my license. When I update, it says that there are no new definitions files.

The definitions filename is 0647-0

That is correct.

avast! VPS Updates History (http://www.avast.com/eng/vps_history.html)
There is no set update interval there aer on average 4 per week, but I have had as many as 4 in a day. avast will periodically check if you have a connection. Once you connect avast will check for updates and depending on your settings, download them automatically. If you remain connected it will check again every 4 hours, with the Pro version you can change that interval.
