Title: False Positive?
Post by: Traci14 on February 04, 2021, 01:31:53 AM
"Threat blocked

We've safely aborted connection on
dl3.checkpoint.com because it was infected with
Win32:NtfsCorrupt-|[Expl].
Feb 3,2021 3:52 PM"

Checkpoint is ZoneAlarm. I wish I had copied the details in the popup because I don't know how to access them now.

I keep getting this too, and I too have ZoneAlarm.

I suspect it might be the ad popup for ZA premium but, even if it is, AVAST should not be blocking Checkpoint.

Whilst you could add an exclusion to avast, you can also report it as a possible false positive.

Reporting Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php (https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php).

Same problem.

"We've safely aborted connection to a dl3.checkpoint.com because it was infected with Win32:NtfsCorrupt-I [Expl]".

I have never tried to link to that web site - presumably the implication is that some malware is trying to redirect me.  I've run Malware Bytes.  I use Avast! Free and Zone Alarm firewall.

This Avast! pop up keeps returning (I reckon I've had over a dozen of the same thing) and it's starting to get on my nerves - this has been going on for at least two days and I'm VERY lose to binning Avast! and finding a new anti-virus software.
