Title: System Preferences > Security and Privacy > General tab, Allow – nothing happens

A yellow pop-up frequently appears, and Avast says, "Please allow us to protect your Mac."

So I follow the instructions found here: https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Mac-Security-allow-permissions

After I do Step 5 (Click Allow), nothing happens -- and the Avast setup wizard never appears.

My OS is 10.13.6 High Sierra.

This seems like a bug in Avast, but does anyone have a workaround?
