The white one is a pen for PDA if I am not wrong, and the second one is a pencil  ;D

But have you figured out how to work it ? it took me days to figure out you need to have the icon/symbol uppermost for the ink colour, pencil or pda stylus you want to use ;D

All but the pencil which doesn't appear to have any lead. Maybe I'm nissing something.  ???

That one is a blank ball point pen for carbon copies (that black stuff that you put between original document and empty paper) and then you write over existing text without actually overwritting it.

Bob, I'll resist making the obvious joke here- as to the missing graphite compound, with the pencil tip engaged and the tip held downwards, press the button repeatedly until the lead emerges. Shake the pen and try again if the jaws fail to latch on to a lead.

Frank,
I'll have to remove the scotchtape first.
Needed tape cause the tip kept flying off every time I retracted the tip.  ;D
They must use some very potent springs in Europe... ;D

Thanks, I'll give it a try but even without the pencil, it's an impressive writing instrument.  :)

I must say I'm not aware of such a tool... ;)
The plastic thing is indeed for a PDA, and the other one is a pencil - but the kind of pencil you have to put the "carbon cartridge" into (sorry, I have no idea how it's called in English... a tiny (0.5mm thick, something like 5cm long, very fragile) carbon thing).
I'm not completely sure if the "cartridge" is included; it may have broken into pieces on the way as well (in which case it might be too short to work).

Edit: the tool seems to be called mechanical pencil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanical_pencil)

It's called a lead (pronounced /led/, rather than /li:d/)- due to the misconception that pencils were made from the metal lead, rather than graphite (a form of carbon, as you say.)

There are a couple of leads in the pencil, but Bob'll need to press the button several times for the mechanism to engage a lead.

Well, as I said, they may have broken during the transport, and maybe a small fragment is blocking the way. It might be helpful to open the pencil (just remove the topmost cap and the rubber) and try to empty it (carefully).
Well, I'm sure you'll find a way ;)

Thanks guys for explanation how 4in1 pen works  ;D Till now I thought it works in random order. Imagine the situation: at the lecture I need to write down something and I'm playing with that thing - PDA, PDA, PDA, pencil, pencil, black pen... oh at last the blue one  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I guess they were only for those with less than 20,000 posts who were avast! Evangelists who were active helpers on the forums ;D ;D

So those Uberevangelists with over 20,00 posts didn't qualify  :(  :( you know I'm kidding Tech.

I had to sign for my package as I'm sure others had to so there should be some form of tracking involved. How reliable is you local mail service ?

In general, we can trust on it.
But, of course, the human being could do anything with a packet  :'( ::)
