Title: HELP! No update possible...
Post by: Stefan30926 on February 01, 2004, 11:18:21 AM
My avast4 home not only stopped auto-updating´in October or so, there is also no possibility to update manually. After downloading and running  vpsupd40.exe, I first got an errorcode (unfortunately I did not write it down), and now it keeps telling me the database is already up to date, while the program still insists that the last update was 0309-9 10/13/03.
When trying to update manually from the program itself, it tells me it cannot find the file and therefore not start incremental update. WHAT CAN HAVE GONE WRONG THERE?
By the way, I run Version 4.0235 on a Windows XP home edition system.

Please invoke manually an update of the whole program. It should solve all the problems.

We had some problems with the update from 4.0 to 4.1 back in October, and your machine seems to be affected by this. Updating to the last build should rectify it.

Thanks
