Title: SATA or RAID Drivers in Future BART Builds?
Post by: ssummit on December 19, 2006, 05:15:21 PM
Are there any plans to include generic SATA or RAID drivers in future BART builds?

It depends on what you mean by generic... Do you know of a specific "generic" driver that we could use?

I'm talking about normal XP drivers.

As far as I'm aware, XP doesn't include any SATA or RAID drivers: they must be put in by FLOPPY via F6 (many machines no longer even have floppy drives---I don't know if a USB floppy would work at that point). By generic, I probably mean those that Vista includes, if any, for their PE (preinstallation environment).

We will probably be switching to Vista PE in the upcoming 3-6 months.
We're still having some difficulties doing so - but the assumption is that they will be eventually solved.

Thanks
