Title: wireless woes and volume bar

Hi all, having a little problem here.....

Daughters boyfriend tried setting up wireless with my new laptop and it is not finding the connection all lights on router are greeen except the wlan which is orange, no idea where to go from here.......any help appreciated       ::)

Also when the modem was changed to a router my volume bar disappeared from the task bar and I can't get it back the box is checked in sound and audio devices but it is not appearing at all, help on this issue would be appreciated too............susz

problem No 1 volume bar sorted, just leaves the network problem.... :)
