Title: Avast Free 20.8.2432 is a little too aggressive on file exe scan
Post by: roninator2 on April 04, 2021, 06:44:40 PM
I find recently that the exe protection is too strong.
Previously it would capture the exe in a capture window and scan it.
Now it may do that or may not.
The exe files I work with are compressed files, when running the exe, there is a 50% chance that it will lock windows explorer.
If I turn the file shield off then there are no problems.
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but there is no way for me to submit an inquiry as I use the free version.
