Title: Network is not secure popup.
Post by: ddabrahim on April 13, 2021, 09:01:31 PM
Hi.

I'm constantly getting a popup message from Avast regarding my network is not secure and others can see my information but does not provide any more details.
If I check my network settings it shows I am connected to my secured home network. If I open Avast, it also confirm that I am connected to my secured home network. So I have no idea why am I getting this popup about the network is not safe.
I did also run a network scan and all comes back normal..

Does anyone have any idea why am I getting this popup messages regarding my network is not secure?
I don't use VPN, wondering if Avast trying to sell me SecureLineVPN by claiming my home network is not secure? Avast do claim that the performance of my computer is not optimal to sell me their Cleanup tool, so it would not surprise me.

Using Avast Premium Security latest version as of today and Windows 10 64bit Home.

Thanks.

@ bob3106
I think things have changed a lot since 2012 (of the video) as has the User Interface, I don't recall if Avast 8 (if this is what it is) even had the Network Scan features.

@ ddabrahim
Check your AvastUI > Protection >  WiFI Inspector - Settings (see attached image 1) and (image 2, my settings), this rarely bothers me.  Berhaps after a system restart I may get a WiFi Inspector scan and or popup.
