Hello all!! Need help getting webshield to work with avant 11 build 43.Worked with firefox 1.5.0.2.I have windows ME.Many thanks.

If you have recently updated either the avant or avast programs you may need to make some changes.

Firstly if you have updated Avant check that the proxy details have been input so it can use the web shield proxy.
This should be similar for Avant I guess:
For IE - broadband users: - Tutorial - Web Shield Proxy Set-up for IE (http://www.avast.com/files/tutorials/ws_ieproxy.htm)
For IE - dialup users - Tutorial - Web Shield Proxy Set-up for IE (Dial-up) (http://www.avast.com/files/tutorials/ws_ieproxy_dialup.htm)

If you have updated the avast program, check your firewall (which is ?) allows access to ashWebSv.exe.

Firefox is now at version 2.0.0.1

Excellent job David!!! The only thing different from the tutorial is that you go to "avant browser options",then go to proxy server.Many thanks again david!!!
