Title: scanner messages

I keep getting the pop up with the scanner messages.. (the items avast is scanning)
It is driving me bonkers  just want avast to run in the back ground and not show me every time it scans a file....Help please. I am using the home edition on windows xp pro...Sure would like a quick response...Thanks

Double click the avast icon right hand task pane Un-check Show detailed Info on performed action
from the providers that have this checked

What tednelly didn't say is that this option is OFF by default, so it looks like you have been tweaking avast.

The 'Show detailed Info on performed action' option is in the following providers, Standard Shield, Web Shield and Internet Mail, so you should check and ensure you haven't tweaked any others.
