Do you mean the clean notes added at the bottom of each clean message?
Which is your email program?

The messages leave completely clean, single headed,
it does not let eliminate them , as much in hotmail as in yahoo

Yahoo and Hotmail unless you have the paid version are web based emails, which are viewed through your browser and as such not monitored by the Internet Mail provider but the web shield provider.

There are third party applications to download web based email from the web to you inbox, are you using a program like this ?

The Internet Mail provider won't be able to insert text into Yahoo (or Hotmail) if you compose emails on-line whilst using your browser as that doesn't use the email protocols.

Do you have another email address that isn't yahoo (your ISP) that you can test it on.
Emails that you compose on Outlook Exchange (for a non-yahoo account) if you and send to others it should should have the note in clean messages if you tick the option in the SMTP tab of the Internet Mail provider, see image. You can't see this note in your sent items folder on your Outlook Express but the recipient will see it.

Webmail does not use the smtp protocol, but http. So, like David said, no space for Internet Mail provider. No clean notes.
I think you even will have the X-Antivirus lines on email headers, like any email scanned by avast in an email program.
Your email will be scanned by WebShield, while this provider scans the http traffic. But, if any Yahoo or Hotmail use https protocol, they won't be scanned either...

Yahoo and Hotmail only use https for login - all other activity is http.

So, am I right to think that WebShield will scan it?

Absolutely.

Indeed, just for information (since the original poster is just using the Web interface)  when I download my Yahoo mail to my mail client the software that converts the Webmail to POP has to perform http reads from the Yahoo mail store.  Often it is the avast Webshield that first detects viruses in the email before the Mail Scanner gets a chance to look at it.

present text
I couldn't understand what is the problem so I couldn't help...
Which is the text here? The clean notes? The message body? I can't follow...

I think I understand the problem (at last).

I believe that the poster was telling us that, when displaying emails in the Web interface of Yahoo or Hotmail the text of the body of the message did not appear.

Apparently, having un-installed avast the message body is now appearing again.  Not an issue I have heard before.

There was a flag line (in yellow) at the top of the message in the image posted.  Any chance of you translating it for us Tech?

Sorry, I don't use webmail, nor Yahoo nor Hotmail...
I haven't seen this problem before. Only a guess: if you change your browser (by the way, which one do you use? Only Internet Explorer?), will it help?
