Title: Opening New Tab Resets To Default Settings

so i am using the avast secure browser and when i use the new tab + button it opens a new tab with none of my personal settings. it shows bookmarks in the browser even though i have it set to off and also reverts back to google, instead of duckduckgo as the homepage, which i don't want.

how do i stop it from doing that every time i open a new tab?

-What operating system you're using: Windows 7/8/10? - 32/64 bit?
-What version of Avast Secure Browser do you have installed (You can click the "3 dots menu" on the top right of your browser window -> "Help and About Avast Secure Browser" ->"About Avast Secure Browser")
