Title: Can Zone Alarm recognize avast!
Post by: andesj on March 29, 2007, 03:20:46 AM: as a antivirus , and what should I do to tell Zone Alarm that it's my anti virus program.

Post by: mauserme on March 29, 2007, 03:25:16 AM: No, ZA doesn't recognize avast! I honestly don't know if it recognizes any other than Zone Alarm's own AV product.

No worries, though. The two work fine together as long as you don't use Zone Alarm's Privacy Guardian (ZA Pro only) with avast!

My version of ZA Free recognizes avast ... but then, I use a version of ZA before it was crapped up with junk. (version 6.1)

Who is *they* here? ZoneLabs made very little effort to solve this problem that is, as far I know, on their (ZoneLabs) side and not Alwil side.

Zonelabs(i hate them & their firewall BTW) ... As far as i am aware this has been dragging on like for ever. Good thing that i am on Comodo firewall.

what are they waiting for-to be included in zonealarm 2008 ??? ::)
