Hi, been having some problems with my computer lately so I installed avast and did a scan.
avast found a virus called Win32:Nachi-B[wrm] which had infected
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\svchost.exe
I tried to repair the file but all I got was this error message:
"Error occured during file repair: The file was not repaired."
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Btw, I have windows xp pro.

hi,
you should be able to delete the file by scheduling a boot-time-scan with avast, or booting your PC to safeMode (press F8 when booting) and then doing a scan with avast/deleting it manually
But it'd be a lot better, if you'd follow a proper procedure like this:
http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=WORM_NACHI.B
be sure apply all Windows-Updates !!! in addition to cleaning the PC
;)

Nachi is a worm - i.e. it isn't possible to "repair". For worm, "repair" = "delete".
