I have updated my debit card and each time I have been charged .99 cents. Why? I cannot get a straight answer from Avast.

Hi,

Generally, with new cards, an authorization is placed.
An authorization is a common method banks use when validating that credit cards are active and available for online payments.
The money is not actually taken from your card, but merely reserved.
It may take a few minutes or up to 30 days, depending on your bank, for the transaction to be removed from your account and the amount to be released to your card balance.
