Title: Backdoor Small.NA detection and removal
Post by: gdiloren on May 15, 2007, 04:31:24 PM
My spyware doctor detects but can't remove Backdoor Small.NA which is a spyware Trojan. Can AVAST HOME EDITION do it?
Thanks

Who knows... Do you have the name and the path of the infected file?

To know if a file is a false positive or really infected, please submit it to JOTTI (http://virusscan.jotti.org/) or  VirusTotal (http://www.virustotal.com/xhtml/index_en.html) and let us know the result. If it is indeed a false positive, send it in a password protected zip to virus@avast.com
Please, mention in the body of the message why you think it is a false positive and the password used. Thanks.

In the historic of Spyware Doctor yesterday, it says it blocked the action of an application (Bacdoor Small.NA) trying to close a file and the infection (high) was located at C/Documents and Settings/gdilorenzo/Local Settings/Temp/h_tsexd.dll. Of course, I couldn't locate the file, may be because it was in a Temp folder erased when you go in internet tools in IE.

Maybe Spyware Doctor detected (and deleted) the file before avast.
I'm not sure which resident will 'caught' the file before.
Anyway, if the file comes back (replicate itself), don't forget, please, to send a sample to avast for analysis.
