I used the registration key and "installed" it. I see experation Never but updates will expire?
 I have 3.0 on my laptop and do not have expiration on updates..what gives

With registration key you can use avast! (both versions, 3 and 4) as long as you wish, but you can update for one year since you register only. After this period you can register again and use new key.
