Title: false positive AMD CPU metric
Post by: Zoart666 on July 16, 2021, 11:33:51 AM
Today a new driver of AMD was released, and it seems avast is detecting the cpumetricsserver.exe. this also happened in the past when with one of the previous drivers. It says the threat is dpi.genetic and second time it finds it when it's not in quarantine, it just says it's infected with cpumetricsserver.exe.

This is a false positive as I already scanned it on totalvirus. But the behaviour shield keeps detecting it at every restart, and when I don't quarantine it then, it detects it a second them and quarantines it for me. Right clicking and scanning it manually does not seem to find anything.

Did that. Although they were aware and wait 24 hours. Still a bit early I guess, but problem still there

Hi Zoart666,

It seems you are not the only one with the AMD thingie, interesting what avast team will come up with in form of a final verdict.
