Hi Bob,

could you please send me logs collected via Driver Updater Log Collector utility (c:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Driver Updater\dulogcollector.exe)?

Thank you.

Yeah, I the only driver I can not update is the Intel(R) Management Engine Interface #1 driver. Perhaps this may be glitch? I have a screenshot of the error. I should also note, I couldn't update this driver on previous version of Avast DU. Please advise.

Okay, I'll send my logs. Besides this issue, the program works like a champ.

Thank you Bob for providing us with the logs, actually I was able to induce the same issue myself and we are already on it, I will keep you updated about the progress.

Regrads.

Update on the beta, the Management Engine Interface #1 driver issue is fixed as the version offered is from February and is actually installed. However, I found another bug, basically if you update the the Intel(R) Gaussian Mixture Model driver and wait a few minutes, Avast will come back with this message, screenshot below. If you update again, it will refresh and will also tell you the PCIe controller is out of date. The odd thing is, it will update it to a version from 1/2/17 YET if you update the Gaussian Mixture Model again, it will revert the version to one from 12/15/15. Other than that, looking good  :)

Update on the situation, I have found a temporary fix, basically when Avast DU says you need to update the Gaussian Mixture Model, I updated it, BUT went out and found a newer version from 12/17/18 which is digitally signed. I even redownloaded the PCIe Controller (x16) - 1901 driver, version is from 1/2/2017 (like Avast DU and is also digitally signed) and installed both, rebooted and the issue hasn't come up since.

Hello Johnmaxwell!

Thank you for this information. I would like to take a closer look.
Can you please upload current log file so I can see the current status?

Thanks in advance!

Sure no problem, I'll send the logs. But, in order to properly fix this issue, Avast needs to update the Gaussian Mixture Model driver 10.1.2.19 (dated 12/15/15) to 10.1.7.3 (dated 12/17/18). The driver can be found here at Microsoft Update Catalog: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=Intel(R)+Gaussian+Mixture+Model+-+1911  The latter driver is digitally signed and is virus free. And for anybody who comes here bearing the issue similar to mine, download the driver from the link provided and update it manually, apply the PCIe Controller update from Avast DU, if offered, and restart. For me, this worked and the issue has gone away. Hope this helps.
