Title: Clear scan history
Post by: NeilMcDonald on August 09, 2021, 03:02:40 AM
How can I set scan history to automatically clear after a given number of days; the history just keeps building up & I can't find any setting for this function.  A previous post on this topic had a link to geek:area which was helpful, however it deleted all history.  It also requires manual action; would prefer an automatic setting.

The option is there, but I'm not sure that it means delete the scan file if it is older than x days, but delete entries older than X days.  I have mine set at 15 days,

I rarely if ever run on-demand scans (outside of tests for forum topics) as they are much depreciated on a resident on-access antivirus scanner.

That said I have my full scan log, and that is still there and the last scan was more than 15 days ago, but there is only that scan run on the 7th of July and nothing earlier.  In theory that should be gone also, but it is the only one remaining.

Scan History is not the same as scan logs.
Scan History only allows a full delete (clear) of the whole history, which has to be run manually in geek:area.  I would like an automatic clearing option that can be set to x days. Preferably as one of the normal settings, outside of geek:area.
