Title: avast failed to detect backdoor vb gen

 i   was  got  infected  by  this  backdoor   recently   and  and  this   virus  is  still  there  on  my  pc   .  i  have  submitted   this  file   yesterday  to   avast   but  it  is  not  added  to   the  detection  .  sorry   for  my  english ?

Yeah,they will reply you back and definitions will be added as soon as they release one (depending on how dangerous is virus/worm).

If you were using Windows XP, why don't you schedule a boot-time scanning?
If not, I suggest you use the avast! Virus Cleaner: http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclnr.exe

Technical, the Cleaner is not a panacea. It is only able to kill very limited set of worms/viruses. Here's the list: http://www.avast.com/i_idt_171.html

Anything that is not on the list is not recognized.

Hope this explains it a bit.

i  have  sended  that  infected   file   but  i  have  not  got  any  reply  yet
