Title: What time does Avast use for scans?
Post by: J2roc on August 30, 2021, 02:00:12 AM

I have a weekly custom (full) scan scheduled.

When I set the time of the scan to run on Sunday at 8:00 pm, the scans typically started around midnight. This was true even though the machine was on at 8:00 pm.

Sick of having to stay up an hour to shut down the computer, I changed the time to 2:00 pm. Now that scan starts up at about 8:00 pm! Again, the machine was on at 2:00 pm.

What is the time zone, if there is one, that Avast uses and can I set it to my zone?

I am running Avast Premium Security on Windows 10.
Programme version: 21.7.2481 (build 21.6.6446.683).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

This is, unfortunately, a known issue with the custom weekly scan. We do not have an ETA for a fix.
