Title: Avast reports that it might be out of date Error; Please Help.
Post by: stevecrissi on September 01, 2007, 04:30:13 AM
In my tray (lower right corner of computer) today a red icon popped up. It is a Windows security alert. You click on it and it opens windows security center. Under Virus protection it says "Out of date" and then has a paragraph below that, that says " avast! anti-virus 4.7.1029 [vps 000770-1] reports that it might be out of date" ???
I tried to manually update avast and it states its up to date. What could be wrong? I dont want my security to @ risk.
I do have the automatic update feature enabled, and see it update quite often.
Please help, anyone.
Thank You :D

Well... I don't think you'll find an answer... I had this in the past and couldn't detect the reason. At least, it's not a reason that you yourself have control over it, just Windows glitches...
