Hi everyone,
there is a new beta version ready - 21.8.2484 (build 21.8.6575).
What's new
- OpenID technology - Modern standard, more secure way to login to Avast account via web browser.
What was fixed
- BSOD caused by Behavior shield driver
- Error messages are correctly displayed on tray icon
Known issues
- New language cannot be installed from Settings

Also please be informed that we would appreciate if you would be so kind and try our Antivirus product based on so called "icarus" setup (installation and update engine) already used for other Avast products but now available also for AV. More information is here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=264883.0.
Please note that in order to get it, you need to uninstall the current one (automatic migration is not supported at the moment).
EDIT: Hello everyone, please let me inform you that we just released new program version (build 21.8.6579.0) where is hopefully fully fixed the mentioned BSOD.

As we are coming closer to the final release, we will release new updates more often. Here you go - new version 21.8.2485 (build 21.8.6577).
It contains only few changes, mainly in setup component.

I thought I was on Icarus channel, but I got build 21.8.6577 ???
It looks like I unknowingly switched channel to instup... maybe I chose wrong installer :-X

what are the changes for beta version 21.8.2486

Tried this beta but uninstalled it because:
Import Settings does not fully restore saved settings like Exceptions, list of Ransomware Shield Protected Folders.
New firewall feature should show 'Home Network' and 'Private Network' instead of Trusted and Untrusted Networks because most people want firewalls to block incoming connections. Also we can't delete any app listed in the Firewall Apps.
