Where is it stored at, what of the temporary files it generates, and the cookies?

The data and cookies are stored in the user profile, the path is : c:\Users\'USER NAME'\AppData\Local\AVAST Software\Browser\User Data\Default\History.
The history is saved locally and will be kept until the user cleans it.
Can you be more specific about this question 'what of the temporary files it generates' ?

Nevermind the last question. Is there an incognito mode, where the files and history are deleted automatically?
And is the usage data sent to the company by default? And is there an option to disable that?

Yes there is Private mode which is similar to incognito mode. It can be found under three dots on right or in Security & Privacy Center.
