Hello,
I am trying to create a USB avast bootable device, no success.
I add created a post in wrong forum (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=303835.0), and now continues here.
the creation process goes up to the end without any problem
the boot order is usb/dvd/dd
the bios recognize UEFI
when I do manual boot, the usb does not appears in the list
I suppose the device is not bootable.
with disk manager, I see the device has a MBR
with powershell I see:
> get-disk

Today, my avast version is: 21.7.2481 (version 21.7.6523.689)

addentum:
I just tested the USB on another computer (mother board lenovo), and it works well !
the problem is now attached to my mother board MSI
so I will now try another bootable USB on my MSI pc.
done.
my ubuntu 20.04 usb device boots. there is something in the usb boot that is understood by lenovo but not by msi ...
is it possible to use the avast rescue disc (dvd or usb, there is 2 usb on most PC) from a CMD dialog opened from a windows repair disc ?
my initial request is still
Being able to create this dvd or usb at any time from one computer to repair another.
in other word, if I can use it from another bootable amovible device, the workaround is good.

I wonder if it is a WinPE v WinRE bootable system issue affecting the machine you cannot boot with Avast Rescuedisk. Also why you can boot on another PC.
I suspect only Avast Team may offer an answer to this.

my avast version : 21.7.2481
Update to the latest version (21.8): https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=304024.0

avast updated to 21.8.2487 (version 21.8.6586.692)
same behaviour
boot ok on lenovo
no boot on msi
I don't want to update my bios: beside the current issue, all works well.
I suppose other peoples will have the same remark, so, my question is now
is it possible to use the avast rescue disc from a CMD dialog opened from a windows repair disc ?
