Any1 else got this message? I installed, Avast performed the first scan. When I tried to access AVAST, that's the message I received ...... ???
Can anybody solve this or give up a work around?

Is the "avast Antivirus" service running?
Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services.
If not, try to start it.
