What's new
We have activated the antitrack feature to further test it. There are some risks regarding certain functionalities in web apps and other sites, so please, bear with us. Any feedback is of course more than welcome, so do not hesitate! Thank you.

Enjoy this beta!
We are looking forward to your feedback.

Also please be informed that we would appreciate if you would be so kind and try our Antivirus product based on so called "icarus" setup (installation and update engine) already used for other Avast products but now available also for AV. More information is here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=264883.0.
Please note that in order to get it, you need to uninstall the current one (automatic migration is not supported at the moment).

Does this mean Avast Antitrack will be integrated into Avast Antivirus, not only Avast One?

We are trying to help to the Avast One product here little bit by enabling it also in Avast AV beta.

TBH, it's a bit strange to test something that doesn't have a single reference in the GUI (at least I didn't find one). :-\

Hello, I'm running 21.9.2491 and it's causing issues with my internet connection. The WiFi drops out or becomes completely unusable about every 10-15 minutes. I turned all shields off and then back on one by one and discovered Web Shield is the culprit. Right now I have it disabled indefinitely and haven't had any issues.

And there's been twice that the UI won't display. After popping up from the tray, it simply states that while I'm protected, there's an issue that requires a reboot to repair. Not sure if that's related, although the UI does slow way down concurrent with the WiFi issues.

Once you have UI in version 1.0.670+ it should be visible in Settings -> Protection -> Core Shields -> Web Shield -> Enable automatic changing of online fingerprint.

Hi trek7007,

I'm very sorry you are having issues with your connectivity.

Could you please help us with the investigation by providing some data?

Please enable debug logging (Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting > Enable debug logging)
Reproduce the issue (wifi connection becomes completely unusable).

Create a support package (https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Submit-support-file) and post the ID here.

Thank you very much,
HK

21.9.2491 is causing issues with some web pages for me. I made a separate topic before seeing this one - https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=306114.0
