Title: Avast Blocking My Website incorectly
Post by: swapnil.sharma on October 13, 2021, 12:17:34 PM
Hi Guys,

After installing Avast client for Mac, one of the website which is not malicious is getting blocked.

https://cult.fit

This website belongs to my organisation in India providing online health classes and products. My assumption is that based on word in the name "cult" Avast is blocking it. I have checked the results on Virus Total and nothing is reported.

Can anyone please help me know the process to get my website whitelisted from Avast Database not locally, but globally.

You can report a suspected FP (File/Website) here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Thanks for your response.
I have reported this as false positive, however we would like to know what triggered this block by Avast, when it was working a few months back.
Was there some changes on our end or some change in Avast signature that triggered the block. Is there a way to get this information.
