Since a recent update (issue has only appeared in recent days, last application update 21/10, I'm getting various HTTP errors, but only intermittently on certain sites.
Initially this appeared to only be affecting Chrome but spread today to Edge.
Since the issue appeared in Edge, I deduced that it couldn't be the browser. Through a process of elimination, I got to the point of disabling the Web Shield in Avast. At this point, the errors instantly disappeared for sites I'd otherwise been unable to access.
The error I have seen today was ERR_HTTP2_FRAME_SIZE_ERROR however in recent days I've seen a slightly different HTTP2 error (I don't have a note & can't recall exactly what it was).
Has anyone else seen this/is it a known issue?
As soon as I re-enable the Web Shield, I start to see the issues again.

Not seen this on my system.
A new version of avast has just been released 21.9 - https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=306968.0 - it might be worth trying that first.
It is strange not to get an Avast Alert rather than an error from the browser ?
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ERR_HTTP2_FRAME_SIZE_ERROR+chrome+edge
Is this on all sites or just some ?
If some which ones ?
Some sites may be using old http connections or may not support certain features.
Avast UI > Settings > Protection > Core Shields - Web Shield try unchecking the Enable QUIC/HTTP3 scanning (enable the Web Shield) and see if that makes any difference.

Saw the issue intermittently last few days on forums.flyer.co.uk / just-eat.co.uk
These seemed to be an issue in Chrome (including incognito), but OK in Edge.
My work email moved from on-prem to Exchange Online last night and MS 365 webmail consistently wouldn't load in Chrome or Edge tonight, unless I disabled Web Shield. Once I got to my Inbox, I could re-enable and carry on working.
Checked Avast for application and definition updates, both are running the latest.

No problem connecting to either of those sites, but my default and only browser on this win10 system is Firefox.
I culled Edge completely in win10 and don't/won't use Chrome, so I don't know if it is only effecting those browsers. But incognito mode can break some sites.
Did you try unchecking the option I gave you ?

Missed that on your last, will check & monitor.
