I'm new at this and don't understand alot. It says that if the balls in the toolbar are gray they are doing something. They are still gray and have been for a couple hrs. When I ran a scan the reports say that they were unable to scan the archive files. What does all this mean?

when the balls are spining they are doing something.
Do you have scan inside archives on? if its on then the archive may be encrypted or password protected.
