Title: Scan log, is this a problem?
Post by: Riley7 on November 08, 2021, 07:37:22 AM
I did a clean install of Avast free to resolve some issues. After install, I created a custom scan and I selected write an event log for it. Viewing the log , I see this for every scan in the drive C,txt file:

"C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-lxss-vm-mode_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19041.1_none_84865c9f15ba86d1\ext4.vhdx.gz|>ext4.vhdx [E] Error 0x0000A47E (42110)
Infected files: 0
Total files: 824810
Total folders: 146435
Total size: 85.1 GB"

This is on Win 10 21H1 19043.1288

I can't seem to fix this. Is it a concern?

Thanks for the reply.

I don't understand this. Does the error number tell it's a decompression bomb? I should ignore this? I thought maybe an Avast file was missing.

Yes to both.
