The key is valid for 12 months.
You need to register again, for free.
Hey, avast 4.7.1043 is the last version, you're pretty non-updated...

By registering avast knows how many active users there are and can plan to have enough update servers. This is so you can reliably update virus signatures and the program, which you clearly haven't done for some time.

The earliest 4.7 version was Version 4.7.817 released on April 19, 2006, so you are well out of date.

Complete the avast! 4 Home Registration (http://www.avast.com/eng/home-registration.php) form and you will receive an email from register @ avast.com (without the spaces) with your registration key.

Once you have done that you should update the program or download the latest version. Download the latest version of avast http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html (http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html) and save it to your HDD, somewhere you can find it again.
