Just downloaded Avast! and during first scan found virus as follows -

virus WIN32IFeat-adware [Trj]

operating system is Windows ME
attempted to delete virus and received message access denied - so how do I get rid of it????
appreciate any help since I am computer illiterate! Thanks! :)

Just do this and it will delete virus automatically.

It's well known that if you disable the System Restore under Windows Me and restart the service again, you will delete that old files that were locked by Windows itself... 8)

Thanks for the reply from the Technical end. It may be well known in the computer/software arenas but I know little or nothing about the inner workings of software so any and all help is appreciated.
