Title: Avast Free X UltraVNC
Post by: slc1509-cntavst1 on January 23, 2022, 09:26:46 PM
Goodnight.!!
I'm having trouble accessing vnc on a machine. After I installed Avast. I can access only by disabling the modules. Ultravnc is digitally signed and I tried to install the certificates (ultravnc) on the computer without success.

Anyone who can help, thank you.

Characteristics:

ultravnc 1.3.2a - 19/12/2020
Avast Free - program: 21.22.2500 (21.11.6809.528) - virus definition : 220120-6 - IU: 1.0.687
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1

Hi,

Do you have any error messages?
Can you temporarily disable the shields and let me know if it makes a difference? If it does, please enable it one by one to see which one is causing the issue.
(Right-click on the Avast Antivirus icon in the system tray > click on Avast Shields Control > select an option)

Hi, r@vast !!

I disabled the Firewall shield (module) and got access via vnc to the computer (vnc server) in question.

The other shields made no difference.

Set the Avast Firewall to private/trusted mode/network and reboot.
