Title: Norton not wanted

 ??? Sirs, a Norton program was installed on this computer and although I do not use not want Norton, it is near impossible to remove from this computer. When I try to run an Avast scan, some parts of Norton block areas frfom being scanned. Please advise. Bob Warwick

Hi,

if norton uninstal did not work, then use the Cleaner from the symantec website to remove all traces of norton-AV.

please also describe your problems/symptoms in more details

You might try to contact technical he can tell you step-by-step how to get rid of norton.

Hello, to get rid from Norton, first try what whocares suggests. But if you want a 'long jorney' to complete remove NAV, so read this post (http://www.avast.com/forum/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1687).
