Hi - today I deleted my Avast Premium product since its license had expired. Then I installed a new Avast Premium Security using a new license I bought on Amazon. This new Avast Premium Security is running right now.
So now Avast Passwords does not recognize that Avast is, in fact, running on my laptop. I get this error when I click on the Avast key on my Firefox browser.
Hmm... Something's not right
Avast Passwords requires Avast antivirus to work. Make sure Avast antivirus is running and try again. Don't have it? Download it for free here
Does anyone know why it does not know that my Avast antivirus is running?
Do I have to reinstall Passwords because I installed this new Avast Premium Security with a new license ID?
--thx

Hi,
Please make sure to "Tick the box next to Passwords (old)" and "Tick the box next to Show Avast Passwords."
Once done, restart your Windows device and the browser extension should work.

I don't have a "Password Manager" option.
The instructions say to UPDATE Avast if you don't find the "Password Manager", but I am already up to date.
I am running ver. 22.1.2504-build 22.1.6921.709, released FEB 3, 2022, 01:23AM
So is there another way to get to the "Password Manager"?

Can you open Avast Antivirus > go to Privacy and provide a screenshot thereof, please?
Can you also click on Menu > Settings >Troubleshooting > ADD/MODIFY COMPONENTS and provide a screenshot thereof?

I went to PRIVACY and found the "Tick the box next to Passwords (old)" selection and clicked it and saved it.
Then I went opened my Firefox and clicked the orange key, and it told me to reinstall the plugin.
So I reinstalled the PASSWORDS plugin and I think it is working now.
So thanks for these directions!
