Title: Windows (all but one) from the previous session open hidden and unusable (again)
Post by: simodel96 on March 24, 2022, 10:34:31 PM
During February 2020 (here to the right is the url to the old case: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=232287.msg1537343 (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=232287.msg1537343)) I had a problem in which all Avast Secure Browser windows except one are loaded but unaccessible and, so, unusable.
-Here below is the chronology of the events from the last normal opening to the discovery of the return of the problem.
Until this morning Avast Secure Browser was working normally, then, during the day, I used it like every day;
tonight, before dinner I normally paused a YouTube video that was playing in a window in incognito mode and I put the monitor on standby,
when I returned from dinner and turned the monitor on again, Avast Secure Browser was completely freezed, so I had to force close and reopen the browser,
after closing and reopening the browser, there were normally, since the previous session was forced closed, a new window with a 'new tab' and a message asking to open the previous session,
then I pressed the button to reopen the previous session,
the reopened windows had exactly the same issue as in the case of February 2020,
while the mentioned 'new tab' continued loading endlessly,
so I tried restarting Microsoft Windows 10 as my last hop for a self-fix, the 'new tab' finished loading in vain, while the issue about unaccessible windows remains.
----
What I expect: I may access all loaded windows.
The issue: All windows of the previous session except one, are unaccessible because the don't appear when moving the mouse cursor to the Avast Secure Browser icon in the Microsoft bar.
-attachments:
As may be seen from the images of the screen output, Microsoft Windows 10 counts many Avast Secure Browser open windows ("Screenshot (64)"), but when I move the mouse cursor to the Avast Secure Browser icon in the Microsoft bar, only one of the windows is accessible ("Screenshot (65)").

The first screenshot shows the expanded view
The second one shows the collapsed view.

In the second, the important part is the image in the bottom, in place of that image, should be visible the images of all 10 open windows, not only the image of one of them.

You can see all the windows if you expand that view.
That's the reason for the down arrow.
