Thanks. It's not about the browser. As I already mentioned, those links can be opened in Tor. To all appearance, Avast blocks some or all ISP's in Russian Federation from having access to Avast official links.

Wouldn't this be the April update?

Wouldn't this be the April update?
No, it is essentially in arrears, beta testing in one month (in this case March) and released on completion. So it isn't entirely tied to a month.
Last year there were only 10/11 if my memory isn't playing tricks.

On updating from 22.2 free to 22.3, I was told that my subscription had lapsed. I followed the cursory procedure to continue with it but was puzzled that it happened at all. Didn't Avast do away with this nonsense with Avast Free?

NO, this annual bun fight continues apace.

Is the Icarus updater now a regular part of the avast update in 22.3 (I haven't updated yet) ?
The reason I ask is someone is reporting a crash related to icarus.exe - see - https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=319074.0

Hi Dave, no - but Icarus is used to update several (standalone) Avast tools.

Non just mentioned that in the other topic.
<snip quote>
I believe he is using Avast Cleanup Premium as the path says (avast-tu: Avast Tune-Up).
Why it's crashing is beyond for me, I suggest Repair of Avast Cleanup (if repair function exists) and reboot the machine.
