Hello everybody, new version (8.42) of the cloud console has been released.
This release brings two major changes to the platform. Our Avast Business Solutions now support USB Protection for Windows (included in Premium and Ultimate Business Security), along with Mobile Device Protection (included in Essential, Premium and Ultimate Business Security), covering both Android and iOS platforms.
New services will be available to existing and new customers using Avast Business Solutions. Existing Hub customers with Avast Business Antivirus / Pro / Pro Plus products will be migrated to new products later in Q2 2022, free of charge.
New Feature(s) & Enhancements
- Added a new USB Protection service to all subscribers of Avast Business Solutions (Premium and Ultimate only) allowing administrators to monitor and block removable USB storage devices on Windows-based managed devices. New settings are available in Policies and the Device detail page.
- Added a new report for the USB Protection service allowing Hub users to monitor connected USB devices.
- Added support for Mobile Device Protection to all subscribers of all Avast Business Solutions (Essential, Premium and Ultimate), allowing administrators to deploy mobile protection on unmanaged mobile devices (Android, iOS) with the same license key. For each seat purchased, customers can use one seat for mobile devices (1+1). For example, customers with 10 seats are eligible for using their subscription on 10 workstations and 10 mobile devices. At this time, management of mobile devices from the console is not possible.
- Added the possibility to add a mobile device from the Subscriptions page.
- (Partners) Search of activation codes on the Subscriptions page was improved to display the new Small Business Solutions SKUs from Order Management System.
- Password Protection under the Antivirus section in the Policies has new settings available.
Resolved issues
- Fixed an issue with deleting sites/customers in multi-company consoles.
Known issues
- Files stuck in virus chest under deleting status in console.
- Internal Server Error: Dismissing Offline 21+ Days Alert.
- Stopping task for patch deployment doesn’t work.
- For some customers installation of AV fails.
- VPN uninstallation doesn’t work under rare circumstances.
