Title: can somebody tell

few days ago when i opened my opera web browser i saw my every account was logged out of gmail no data of my accounts and also when I opened Instagram app on windows there too was nothing it was like I just re installed these apps
so I tried to run scan but when I clicked on avast it didn't open then I tried to repair it it got opened
My fear is that these accounts being logged out was caused by  any malware?
and avast showed me It needed update last update was just month ago
was avast still protecting me in background when i was not able to open it was it at least running in the background?
